BioACID42 is Lionel Valdellon.
I started out as a drummer for a pop band in 1994, upgraded into a keyboardist for an acid jazz/80s cover band in 1995 and got fed up by 97, when I decided to finally create and play the electronic music I truly enjoyed. I started CLONE (http://reclone.tripod.com), a trio who performed songs like a band, albeit one with keyboards and samplers instead of drums and guitars.
___On the side, my ACID42 solo project actually started out as part of my day job as online content editor in 1999. Ended up putting together sound clips for websites using Acid Pro. Which led to learning other software, and a never-ending educational process of learning about sound and music production.
___These days, I comandeer my laptop and sampler, and plays out as often as possible in any available gig: school fairs, punk gatherings, cozy lounges, hazy bars. No gig is too small, no group of people unreachable. Which is why I make sure I have a wide array of original music ready to go-- danceable house tracks, relaxing downtempo, even jump-up hardcore beats at 160 bpm.
